Ellen Epperson Obituary

ODESSA Ellen Mae Epperson, 93, a longtime resident of Odessa, passed away Monday, November 18, 2013, at Deerings Nursing Home. She was born February 1, 1920, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to Calvin & Zora Curtner. She was a homemaker and a member of the Wesley Evangelical Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John W. Epperson, & sons, Jerry Epperson & Harold Medlin.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Epperson & wife Barbara of Odessa, daughter-in-law, Charmy Epperson of San Angelo, brother, Noah Kee of Jonesboro, Ark., (8) grandchildren, (25) great-grandchildren, & half- sisters, Elsie Lewis of Ida Lou, TX, Shirley Curtner of Moore, OK, half- brothers, Calvin Curtner Jr. & Alvin Curtner, both of Lubbock, TX , & niece, Lois Carr of Bono, Ark.
There will be a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Wesley Evangelical Methodist Church with Rev. Ronnie Newton officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

I've known Ellen since I was 3 yrs old (I'm now 60) and she was a fine lady. Fun to be around and always put her family first. She did love her family! Love you Ellen, Rest in Peace, and we'll all see you again one day.
