MERYL BONNIE SHULKIN

SHULKIN, Meryl Bonnie We deeply grieve the passing of Meryl Bonnie Shulkin (fondly known as Bonnie) of Wayland, Massachusetts on September 30, 2023, at age 77. Beloved wife of Martin Shulkin for 55 years, devoted mother to Jennifer Harris and her husband Jonathan of New York City, and to Matthew Shulkin and his wife Traci of Weston, Massachusetts. By far, her greatest pride and joy came from her five grandchildren, Jake, Cole and Sienna Shulkin and Tucker and Charlotte Harris. To them, she was "Mema" and "Bon Bon", and she loved them dearly. Born in Philadelphia to Ruth and I. George Segal, she is survived by her brother Steven and his wife Paula Segal, and by her sister Sherry and her husband Marty Nash, and by her many nieces, cousins and family members. She attended Lower Merion High School outside of Philadelphia, and went on to graduate from Boston University, during which time she met her husband. Bonnie will be remembered for her devotion to family, and her generosity and selflessness. She was adored by her countless friends, who considered her a sister, and with whom they could rely on for her honesty, advice, and confidences. Her quick wit, sense of humor and magnetic personality added to the energy and atmosphere wherever she was. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 2nd at 1:00pm at Temple Sinai of Sharon, 25 Canton Street, Sharon, Massachusetts; burial service to follow at Sharon Memorial Park. Shiva at the home of Matthew and Traci Shulkin on Monday, October 2nd and Tuesday, October 3rd (6-9pm both evenings).
