Mike,
I'm so glad I met you back in Elementary school and became best friends. You were, and still are, like a brother to me and I'm going to miss you more than words can describe. You've been an inspiration to us all and taught us no matter what life throws our way, just keep on moving on. I know you're in a better place now with no needles, chemo, or oxygen tanks, and I know you're having a blast. I love and miss you man, and I know when my time comes, you'll be there at those gates waiting for me. Gayle and Gary, stay strong like you always have..you know I'm here for you.

Mike, you taught us all to love life, live it to the fullest, and that you can still be strong even if you're staring into the dark unknown. I know you're up there looking down and keeping a watch over us to help us be as strong as you were. You were the best friend I could ever ask for, and I'll see you on that day 60 years from now when you, me, Justin and Kyle can sit back, relax and have a toast (but I bet it will be more than one).
I love and miss you, Mike.

Dear Gary and Gayle,
I know there are no words that can comfort you at this time in your lives, but just mere words I feel in my heart. I can’t begin to imagine what you both are going through. I do want you to know, as parents, you both did everything humanly possible within your powers to help Mike beat this cancer and for this you should feel very proud. You should never ask yourselves “what ifs” for this will only drive you crazy and slow the healing. I’ve heard you say Mike is your rock but to him you both must have been his boulder. I’ve heard people say, as I am sure you both have, “my gosh, he was so young, he didn’t get to live a full life”. So my question to that statement is “What defines a full life?” Is it measured by how old you get, the riches you obtain, the places you travel to, the risks you may take or is a full life defined by the memories you’ve gathered with family and friends before you pass away. They say just before you pass away your life passes before your eyes. If this is true, I’m sure Mike has no regrets he left with a lot of memories and a smile too. Yes Mike’s passing was at a young age as unfair as it is but as long as you hold his memories close to your hearts like loving parents do, he will grow old with both of you. So on those days of grief and sadness, which I’m sure you both will share, you need only to reach into your heart’s memories for there a smile will appear. GOD bless you both.
Your loving friends always,
Debbie, Dana and Jessica Clark

The Hebrew meaning of Michael is gift from God, and Mike truly was a beautiful gift from God. He brightened our lives in so many ways, and we know that his spirit lives on in the many of us who were able to share his short, but full, life.
Spread your wings Mike, and be a free bird! We love you and will miss you forever.

Mike & Family:
May the ANGELS surround YOU with their Love. Mike I am sure my son who was born 6/12/1990 greeted you at the gates of heaven - you have some things that are in common with each other - GEMINI, AGE, CHILDREN"S HOSPITAL & A WARM SMILE. Continue Mike like my son does sending down RAYS OF SUNSHINE upon his family.
To Mike's Family - I send you my sympathy and prayers. Continue to carry on with Mike's Memories for they will get you through the hardest parts of the days.
Again You are all in my thoughts and Prayers.
