Sorry to hear of Mikes passing.
I remember going up to your house for a Red Sox game in 1976 and Mike gave us each a brand new $2 dollar bill. I went home thrilled with myself and my newfound wealth, courtesy of Mike.

Mary, Eleanor, Danny and George:
As all of you know so well, so did I - that Mike was a kind, courteous, considerate, generous, quiet and, most of all, a gentle man, a true salt of the earth. I enjoyed Mike when I was a youngster growing up but it was when I came to Boston to work that I appreciated his greaT qualities even more, both during the so warm visits to the Conlon manse in Brighton and, just as much, before, during and after my work in Dorchester when I'd find myself in Field's Corner.
And the meals (and maybe a drink or two) at the Blarney Stone filled me with warmth, but even warmer was Mike's hospitality. A quiet Irishman just may be the best of the breed, and, for sure, that was Mike, He was a good man.
My condolences to all.

Mary, Eleanor, Danny and George: As you all know much more intimately than I, Mike was a kind, gentle, warm and generous man. But I knew it well, too, from when I was a youngster to when I first came to Boston to work and the many meals (and a drink or two) I had in Field's Corner at the Blarney Stone and Mike couldn 't have been more friendly and generous. Of course, my mother loved Mike dearly, too; a quiet Irishman may be the best of the breed, as was Mike.
I'll miss him.
