What a great guy! Mike often stayed at my home which was near the Share Group calling center. He ruled on the "animal" calls - MSPCA, the Humane society et.al. My kids loved him; they appreciated the cards he'd give them. Mike would even sleep with my pit bull; all the other callers/guests were terrified of him, the dog that is. I'd enjoy talking to you. Mark Enoch (860) 857-5874 I'm still in shock, just learned of Mike's passing on facebook yesterday. My condolences.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. C, Bill, Karen & Chris,
I was so sad to hear of Mike's passing and I am so sorry for your loss. Mike was my best friend growing up. I will always cherish the memories that we shared together. The experiences that Mike and I had as kids have become the subject of countless bedtime stories that I share with my children. When we were young, we relished life's simple pleasures. It didn't get any better than an episode of Leave it to Beaver before school and Mrs. C's toasty grilled cheese sandwiches after school. Mike and I started beer can collecting together in 5th grade and we were amazed how we could literally dig up the past in the form of an Old Topper Snappy Cone Top, like little archeologists. In the neighborhood we had countless games of whiffle ball and football and I always remember Mike coming and going with his loyal dog Pepper behind him. Mike introduced me to such great music from the Kinks to the Clash to Reggae. He was such a gifted musician. I always marveled how he could pick up a guitar and rattle a song off the top of his head like he'd been practicing it for weeks. It always put a smile on my face. Mike, you were a good man and you'll be missed. God bless your soul and may you rest in peace my friend.

Whether it was at Kellys bait shop..The Dover peaks...or at the homestead in fairway acres just chewing the fat with family and friends...Mike almost always had a half smile a little laugh and the look of wonderment on his face...He enjoyed his time here...Mr. and Mrs.C...Bill Chris and Karen ...God Bless.

I cranked up The Clash during my morning workout and thought about the good times with Mike in Westwood and at UMASS endless discussions about Roger Clemens/Bob Stanley/Jim Rice, commiserating on the Sox blowing the '86 World Series, adventures out to the parties at Smith College, and hanging out in his Kennedy Tower dorm room with other Westwoodites while Mike strummed his guitar and sang some of his many hilariously sarcastic songs about love and life.
I'm so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. My condolences to the Crabtree family.
