Dear Mrs. Delia:
Mike called you the day he stopped his car at the Market/Van Ness Muni stop and got out to bring me, a passenger, up to date on his condition and hopes for recovery. Cars were honking, FLine cars were clanging Hello and all the while Mike was his his cheery self as he took selfies.
I will never forget Mike. I didn't really know him except as a regular passenger but I know that he was a special guy. Never met anyone quite like Mike
I was tempted to call and find out how was getting on but under the circumstances, since we'd never met, was a reluctant. A few weeks ago, I asked an FLine operator.
I want to know that my parish has been praying for Mike at every Mass and will be doing so for the next month.
He was one of a kind
God bless you
John
