To the Family of Chief Michael "Mike" Maloney,

You are not alone. We, the families of Police Officers in Greenland, in NHSP Troop A, around NH, around New England, around the US and internationally share in your grief and honor the service Mike gave to his community.

It is with a heavy heart and tears on our face that we pray that God brings you solace in the memories that you have and grants you peace as you go forward without him in your daily lives. We pray that you know you will meet again when God says your time on earth is done.

With love,

When I was a small child in Maine, back in the 1960's, I remember a police officer had been killed in the line of duty trying to stop a bank robbery. My dad brought me to his funeral and then afterwards to the exact spot where the officer had been shot. Down on the sidewalk right in front of the bank, my dad pointed out the outline of the blood from the fallen officer. My dad told me when I got older, to never forget the sacrifice that officer had made. Almost 50 years later, I still will never forget what that officer did for his community.
God bless you Chief Maloney.

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. ~By Prabhakar Pillai~

My heart is heavy, our heart's are heavy, yet the imprints of your kindness, generosity, bravery, friendship and all of the lasting memories keep you close to us. We miss you. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family, friends, colleagues, and the community. May you rest in peace, my friend.
