I am so sorry for your loss.I had talked to Michael late May and was shocked when Rebecca called my step son today to ask questions about his taxes since we did not know he passed so suddenly although he was for the last few years in poor health. I considered Michael no only a business associated but a friend. We shared stories about our families and our love of the writer Herman Hesse and especially Magister Ludi( The Glass Bad Game). He was very detailed when it came to his personal budgets and paying estimated taxes. He was in my experience prudent and always concerned that his family would be well provided for upon his death.I have known Michael and Gail not only as their tax preparer for over 30 years but also our deep rooted connections with Boston College. my family will miss Mike but his memory will always be with me and my family. I am so sorry to hear that Michael has died. I was an associate dean at Boston College for many years and often worked with him about students of all kinds. He was the go-to person for undergrads in the Psychology Dept. He cared deeply about our students. May he rest in peace.

I am a former colleague from BC. I will always remember Michael's dedication to the department and his helpful advice to all. He was particularly helpful to me when I moved to BC from a very different public university in Canada. I hope that fond memories of Michael are a source of strength at this difficult time.
