MICHAEL KIRWIN RAYNE

RAYNE, Michael Kirwin Of Rockland, formerly of Brookline, passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, September 28, 2025. He was 82. He was born in Brookline, to Margaret (Kirwin) and George Rayne. He grew up in Brookline and attended Brookline High School. He served in the U.S. Army for three years and was a Bronze Star recipient. Proud firefighter for 30 years in Brookline, MA. Beloved husband of 57 years to Eileen Rayne (Reilly) of Rockland. Devoted father to Michael K. Rayne (Kristen) of Quincy, Kim Marie Moran (late Bernie) of Pembroke, James P. Rayne (Wendy) of Westport, and Stephen Rayne of Rockland. Adoring grandfather of seven grandchildren. Loving brother to Eleanor A. Cahill and Kathleen Gormley. Predeceased by his parents, Margaret (Kirwin) and George Rayne; and siblings, Robert, George, Paul, Francis, Maureen, William and Mary Claire. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the Visiting Hours on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 4-8 PM, in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM, on Friday, October 10, 2025, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann's Church, Quincy, at 10 AM.
