CORRECTION SCOTT, Michael Soldier, Musician, Friend December 23, 1964 - July 5, 2025 Captain (CA) Michael Scott, a man known for his warmth, resilience, and larger-than-life personality, passed away on the morning of July 5, 2025, following a courageous four-year battle with Glioblastoma. He was a warrior in every sense: defined not by his illness, but by the boundless life he continued to live in spite of it. Diagnosed in 2021 and given just one year to live, Michael defied every expectation, surviving more than four courageous years. He met every challenge with bravery, humor, and a heart wide open to connection. Michael's life was rich with stories: wild, funny, improbable, and deeply human. He was a talented bass player, performing in the bands: Dead Time Stories, The Distortions, and Godspeed. But beyond his music, acting, and project leadership, Michael was a talker, a connector, and someone who truly wanted to help. He never missed a chance to check in, offer a hand, or lift your spirits, no matter what he was going through. Michael was deeply proud of his military service. Even after his diagnosis, he remained committed to his duties, continuing to train and serve with the California State Guard, where he rose to the rank of Captain in 2025. His strength and perseverance, both in service and in life, inspired all who served with him. Michael is lovingly remembered by his devoted partner, Veronica of Pasadena, CA; his mother, Roberta of Windham, NH; his sister, Andrea and her family of Bedford, NH; countless military comrades; and lifelong friends. Michael will be missed beyond words, but his legacy lives on in the memories, the music, and in the stories, always in the stories. We love you, Michael. Rest easy, Captain, you've earned your peace.
