MILDRED BENEDICT Obituary

BENEDICT, Mildred S. Beloved by family and friends alike, Mildred Sebring Benedict passed away peacefully on January 24th surrounded by loved ones. In her 103 years, Mildred showered her family and those blessed to know her with love, generosity and kindness. She lived a remarkable life, taking great pleasure in simple things – a full moon, a rainbow, Scrabble, but most especially catching up with her many loved ones. Predeceased by her husband of 57 years, William C. Benedict; Mildred is survived by their children: Jean Meo (Bob), William C. Benedict (Kathy), Jim Benedict (Deb), John Benedict, Ann Elliott (Alan), and Martha Hopkins (Skip). In addition, she was blessed with 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immeasurable joy. A private service celebrating Mildred's extraordinary life will be held at a future date. Donations in Mildred's memory may be made to Good Shepherd Community Hospice, 160 Wells Ave., Newton, MA 02459 or Needham Community Council Food Pantry, 570 Hillside Ave., Needham Heights, MA 02494. A random act of kindness in Mildred's honor would be most appreciated. For guestbook condolences, visit www.bradyfallon.com
