Hello, I am so sorry to include my condolences at this time, I only read his obituary tonight. Diane Michalchuck, biology teacher at VRHS 1963 - 1964 and I shared one period five days a week and Mr Descoteaux taught me 1st year bookkeeping. I graduated 1965 and missed you both. Over the years, I have thiught of you often and still chuckle at the scarves you used to hide the whisker burn Mitchell shared with you. Please know how much our class time meant to me. Diane our hearts were broken when Mitch and Ray died on the same day.
Our loving families are such a comfort.
You are in my thoughts and I hope we see each other soon. Mitch was such a good guy and his sense of humor lit up whatever space he was in. Ray was the same way. May God bless all of you. Judy

i have fond memories of spending the summer in lynn when i was a child. making paper mache heads, the cats, the parakeets in the kitchen, and memories of that beautiful house with it's stain glass window leading upstairs, and the beveled glass door upon entering the main foyer of the house. playing in the basement with my cousins, playing with the drapes tassle's as though they were people, and playing with the hand puppets my aunt made herself. Also, loved the blue willow dish ware that was displayed in cabinets in the living room area... i eventually as adult purchased some blue willow myself. Uncle, mitchell was a stern man but always fair with all his children. spanking was a last resort but seldom ever used.
Both my aunt and uncle raised 5 children..... they did a wonderful job at raising them. all 5 turned out wonderful, and are productive responsible adults.

Condolences to Diane and family. Mitch was a great guy who had the ability to spread calm in tough and rocky situations. I admired him as a manager, leader, mentor and friend at Harvard Management Company. Wish peace and strength to his family to deal with losing him.
