BERLAN, Morton Of Hingham, MA and Naples, FL was born in Brooklyn, NY, May 20, 1931 and passed away peacefully, January 29, 2023. Morton is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Crowley Berlan and was predeceased by his first wife, Carol Hennessy Berlan. Morton was also survived by his children and stepchildren, Alice Piccirillo (Robert deceased), David, Douglas (Ellen), John Crowley (Anita), Christopher Crowley, Hollis Crowley (Scott Page). Grandchildren, Justin (Melissa Haskell), Benjamin (Kim Dunlap), Christopher, Zachary (Alexandra Killian), Emily, Greta, Ian, Aiden, Ava and great-grandson, Xavier. Retired Commander United States Naval Reserves. Educated at Brooklyn College (BA), Rutgers University (MBA) and Suffolk University (JD). Retired from MIT after 30 years as their Director of Telecommunications. Morton was incredibly proud of his 20 years of service to the Navy and was so proud of his entire family. He will be deeply missed by everyone. Visitation to held Saturday, February 11, 2023, at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave., ACTON, MA, from 9am-11am. Immediately following a religious service will be held at the funeral home. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Concord Rd. Acton, MA, at noon.
