PLOTNICK, Muriel Whiteman Muriel Whiteman Plotnick of Boynton Beach, FL, formerly of Hull, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, and was laid to rest on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. Muriel was born in December of 1939 and was the loving and devoted daughter of the late Edith and Samuel Sarver. She was the cherished wife of Henry Plotnick, who passed away on March 6, 2022. Loving mother of Caren and Stu Carpenter, Stacey Whiteman, Mark Diamond, and Michael Whiteman. Adored Nana of Brittany and Bobby Bolen, Jordan and Samantha Whiteman, Emily and Robbie Grass and Emily, and Samantha and Danny Diamond. Cherished bubbe of Robbie and Connor Bolen. Dear Aunt of Joel Plotnick, Linda (Plotnick), and Everett Levenson; and great-aunt to Adam and Cori Levenson and Josh Levenson. Muriel will be remembered for her larger-than-life personality, her love of cooking for a house full of people and a crowded table, her delicious roast chicken and stuffing, her decadent Hello Dolly's, her love of dirty jokes, her talent of telling stories and of holding a crowd, her laughter, and her generosity. Muriel was happiest when gathering with her dear family and treasured friends for her legendary parties and celebrations. Everyone looked forward to her wonderful annual New Year's Day brunch. Muriel adored her hometown of Hull and Nantasket Beach where, for decades, she planted herself on the beach at the end of Revere Street and in later years on N. Street. She always had enough food to feed an army, not just her three children and their friends. Hull was never very far from Muriel's heart as was evidenced by the "Go To Hull" bumper sticker that adorned her car. She was always excited to run into a Hull native in Florida or during her many driving trips to and from Massachusetts with Henry. Muriel and Henry travelled to many places around the world. Cruises were their favorite and they met many people who would become dear friends. Muriel and Henry spent many years in South Florida, also known affectionately as Camp Florida, before moving permanently to Boynton Beach. Muriel cherished visits from family and friends where she often played tour guide, taking her guests to museums, art festivals, antique shows, flea markets, and the best restaurants in town. Muriel had a penchant for gift giving, and not just for birthdays or special occasions. If she saw something that she knew someone would like, she picked it up and sent it to them. She was extremely generous, incredibly thoughtful, and she had a way of making people feel special. Muriel will be remembered for loving her family and friends with all of her heart and for always being the life of the party. Muriel struggled many times over her lifetime and overcame them with humor and laughter. "Laughter is the best medicine" was a motto she took to heart. The last few years were difficult and challenging for Muriel. Her family would like to thank her longtime and dear friends who remained devoted to her and her family. Muriel's family would like to thank her amazing caregivers, Rosa, Argelia, Eddie, Betsy, Sharon, and Bethsey for their love and dedication to Muriel and her family. Her family also thanks Visiting Angels of Delray Beach for their incredible care, support, advice, and friendship during the last few years.
