I had Dr. Siegel an in Nursing School at Boston State College. He could take the most complex subject and teach it so you could understand. A wonderful professor and man.

Our sympathy to the Segelman Family. I well remember Myron - the brother of my graduate school colleague (Alvin B. Segelman) at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston. Myron was Professor at the State College across the street. On occasion, Myron would sit in (audit) at one of our lectures in Microbial Physiology. (Myron was also a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in the 1950s.) Both Al and Myron were true academics - both given to teaching. Both were well liked.

Dear Addie, I just got a email with the obituary. I am stunned and deeply sorry. I haven't spoken with you in such a long time. Myron was one in a million! We have never replaced him ! Everyone loved him at the College of Nursing.. He was smart, kind, funny and he represented a unique generation of teachers. I speak for Fran Portnoy and Ann Kibrick when I say he was a most incredibly kind, and thoughtful human being. The students loved him, He was a special professor. Students were always lined up outside of his office! . He was their teacher and their advocate. Those were good days as we began the U Mass Boston journey for the 'School of Nursing'. Myron's smile was contagious - and it was always present.. He was a good friend and colleague to me and to many others.. The picture of him here, is how I remember him. The expression on his face that captured us all.- He made a difference in many lives. There has never been another at the college like him!! I cherish the memories .
Rest in peace dear friend. You were the best! We will always remember you.
Love, Linda

Addie and Family
What a wonderful experience to have worked for and with Myron. Everything about him was caring and giving. One of the most naturally generous human being I have ever known. So many nurses owe so much to Myron's knowledge and how he took care of the then College of Nursing students.
Thank you Myron - THANK YOU

Dear Segalman Family,
I am very sorry to read about the passing of Dr. Segalman. I worked with myron for many years at umb and have fond memories of our daily chats. He taught me everything i know about being a compassionate person and always helping the students. He was a great man and many students benefitted from his caring ways. I saw him not that long ago when he stopped by Umb to help a student from the past. What a wonderful man. I am so sorry for your family. May he rest in peace. Valerie Corrente
