Nancy A. ROURKE

1937 - 2023

ROURKE, Nancy A. Passed July 9, 2023. Born in Newton, May 14, 1937 to Edmund A. & Catherine M. Magrane (Stofflet), Nancy graduated from Newton High School and Northeastern University. Among the first females admitted to Alpha Pi Mu Industrial Engineering Honor Society, Nancy then shifted focus to the arts, most enthusiastically pottery. A 40+ year friend of Bill W. In later life, she became a bookkeeper, working at local architecture and scientific instruments firms. An only child, she married James A. Rourke, who predeceased her in 2009. Nancy is survived by son, Boyd A Rourke of Watertown; and daughter, Susan Verma & her husband, Suneet Verma of Sudbury. Also survived by grandchildren, Kerani Verma of Boston and Deven Verma of Boulder, CO.

Visiting Hours on Monday, July 17, from 5 pm to 8 pm, in The Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco and Sons Memorial Chapels,773 Moody Street WALTHAM. Parking attendants will be available.

A Celebration of her Life will be held Tuesday, July 18, at 11am. Interment will follow at Mt. Feake Cemetery, 203 Prospect Street, Waltham.
