Nathan Herman Obituary

Age 89 of Coco Beach, FL passed away November 5, 2007. Graveside services Wednesday, November 7, 2007 10:30 at Congregation of Reform Judaism Cemetery in Gotha, FL. Nathan was born in North Providence, RI to the late Samuel & Rose Herman. He grew up playing Baseball with his brothers and went on to play Minor league ball in California. While there, he was a professional drummer who played in clubs in California and New York. In Hollywood, he met and married his loving wife of 48 years Hannah. Together they moved to Massachusetts and started the family Grocery business. He was a decorated WW II vet serving in the Aleutian Islands. He is the father of Larry of MA, Harris of CT and Lynn (David) Herman-Atkins of MA, brother of Max (Ida) and the late Elaine, brother-in-law of Lt. Col. Retired Joseph (Beverly) Herman, uncle of Joe, Leslie (Jay), Michelle (Rob) and great uncle of Max, Marlene, Barry, Cori, Carley, Caitlan, Adam and Brian and a host of others family members. Services entrusted to Beth Shalom Memorial Chapel, 640 Lee Rd., Orlando 407-599-1180.

Mr. Herman,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served during WW II in the Aleutian Islands in the North Pacific fighting the Japanese and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
