We first met Nat and Arlene 63 years ago, when they had just returned from their honeymoon, and we became lasting friends ever since. Carole and Arlene met as fellow counselors at Fessenden School´s summer camp in June 1962, and the four of us went out for dinner shortly thereafter. Then followed many outings and adventures over the years - a notable outing was a motorboat ride on Lake Cochituate where Nat couldn´t figure out how to get out of reverse in time for the inevitable! We still chuckle about that whenever we see each other or remember Nat.
We remember the hard times when Nat suffered from TB after the army, and had various medical conditions over the years that ultimately took their toll. As newcomers to Boston, we were warmly welcomed and adopted as guests at his parents´ home for the High Holidays. We were inspired by his devotion to his mother Lilian in her elder years. We shared the joy of growth of our families over the years through many times together.
We loved the spirit of adventure, openness, friendliness and constant playful humor, which made Nat a cherished spouse, parent, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. We will miss him greatly,
