I graduated Fair Lawn Senior High School, as it was called then, with Neal. During those tumultuous teen years he stayed the course, mindful, a good student, pleasant, mature for his years, an "old" soul. I read his obituary and am glad he did so well in life and helped so many people by his vision and work. My heartfelt sympathies go out to his family and those that knew him well.

I was saddened to hear of Neal's passing. I had the opportunity to work with him in several capacities, mostly during my time in the MGH tech transfer office around the time Neal founded Mercury. Our negotiations and other dealings were always professional but friendly, and I always respected his intelligence, drive and professionalism. My sincere condolences to the family on your loss.
