EBENSTEIN, Norman A Boca Raton FL real estate developer and philanthropist, passed away peacefully at his home on Dec. 20, 2016 at the age of 88. Norman will be remembered for his love and devotion to family, his brilliant intellect, and huge personality. He formed Capital Commercial Properties and was joined by his son Douglas Ebenstein who helped him expand the company. A key achievement was the revitalization of Eden Center, a Falls Church VA shopping area that is a cultural and social hub of the Vietnamese-American community. Norman graduated from Phillips Exeter, Brown University and Boston University Law School. He is survived by Shirley, his wife of 65 years, daughter Jaime Ruth Ebenstein, son Douglas Ebenstein and his wife Robin, and grandchildren Lisa and Lori. Services will be held Thursday, Dec. 22nd in Boca Raton.

Shirley, Doug and Jaime:I just learned of Norman's passing. Please accept my condolences on your loss. I have many pleasant memories of working with Norman on his retail properties in Virginia, Maryland and Ohio and on is leases for the law office in Hartford. I will miss speaking to him at Passover and New Years each year and hope to continue to greet Shirley at those times for years to come. Donald Bloch
