Pamela was my mentor and was a constant teacher to me.
My first 2 garden installations were with her, including a very visible one on Brattle Street...she made my novice work look good, filling out my plan with bulbs and perennials that I did not yet know how to thread into the garden, she teaching me with each step of fine gardening building.
She formed a women gardening group when we discussed a garden topic monthly during the winter...we learned from her and each other.
She will be so missed and I will be grateful to her forever.

Dear wonderful Pam would arrive in our yard to help prune our quince
Bush which needed her
Special guidance .
So happy we always felt to see her each visit except winters when we´d get in our mailbox
Mountain and ski news from years ago and Ed´s
Friendship with John about life in snowy New England
She will
Be missed so much .
Thank you Pam

I am so sorry to hear about Pam Hart´s passing. Her memory is a blessing. She cared for and conceived of the small garden around our condo on the corner of Sherman and St´s. I learned a lot from her and she used to put plants in she needed to stow somewhere for awhile that I got to enjoy and learn about. I don´t live there now and she retired about when I moved. I wish I had her help in my current residence, which has a much bigger garden I have tried (helplessly) to naturalize. I always think of her when I drive by my old house. We also shared a love of French literature. Didn´t she have a phd, not just a masters? My sympathies to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was an amazing woman, dare I say a force of nature, and she will be missed. May her memory be a blessing to you all.

I have been a close friend of Pamela´s daughter Sarah for over 50 years. I will dearly miss the charming letters and clippings Pamela mailed me over the years. A truly beautiful soul.

We are so sorry to hear of Pam's passing. She was such a warm presence in the neighborhood, welcoming to all of us "newcomers" (from, in our case, 1988). Her touch can be seen in gardens and backyards up and down Kelley St and the neighborhood. She was a genius with plants and trees, and a great lover of dogs as well, including our various rambunctious and mischievous puppies. She set a wonderful example of aging with wisdom. We will miss her vibrant spirit and we will think of her often, especially when the magnolia tree in our backyard, which she found for us, blooms again in the spring.
