HEARD, Patricia (Gather) Passed away peacefully Sunday, January 30, 2011 in her home in Portsmouth, NH. Predeceased by brother, Antony Gather and sister, Jillian Walter. Survived by husband of 57 years, Arthur M. Heard; three children, Jonathan (Rosemary) Heard, Sandwich, NH, Adam (Nancy) Heard, Concord, NH, Meredith (Bill) Gisness, S. Hamilton, MA. and six grandchildren, one great grandchild, and sisters Rosemary Harwood, Carbondale, CO. and Karen Crowther, Wilderness, South Africa. Visiting hours held on Saturday, February 5 from 3-5 pm at J. Verne Wood Funeral Home, 84 Broad Street, Portsmouth, NH. Funeral Service held at St. John Episcopal Church, 101 Chapel Street, Portsmouth, NH on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at 12:30 pm. Reception to follow at the church.
