PATRICIA M. SMITH

SMITH, Patricia M. Smith, Patricia M. (Duffy) of Norwell, passed away on September 27, 2023. Patricia was born in Boston to the late Hugh and Jeanne Duffy. She was a longtime resident of Weymouth and a graduate of Weymouth North High School. Trish had many jobs, her most rewarding being at Linden Ponds where she was able to touch the lives of so many. She will be remembered for her boundless energy and the relationships she formed through running marathons, swimming, biking and coaching sports. And though she was always busy, she always found time to do what she loved the most, spending time with family and friends, making everyone laugh and making each person feel uniquely special. Beloved wife of 35 years to Edward Smith of Norwell. Loving mother of Kylie Plaut and her husband Carl of South Boston, Thomas Smith of Dorchester, Leah Smith of South Boston and Erin Roberts and her husband Nickolas of Marshfield. Sister of Lynne Cunningham and her husband Paul of Weymouth, Louise Henderson of Marshfield, Hugh Duffy, Ret. BFD and his wife Geri of Duxbury, Jeanne Hammond and her husband Brian of Mashpee, Kathleen Duffy of Hingham, Thomas Duffy and his wife Amanda of Colorado, Maureen Sudbey and her husband David of Osterville, Aileen Darois and her husband Al of Weymouth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10 AM.
