Dear O'Shaughnessy Family and Friends,

I am very sorry to learn of Patrick's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting and befriending Paddy and his beloved Dorothy years ago through our efforts in the Butterfly Garden at Adams Farm in Walpole, MA. They were beautiful, honest, warm people with great senses of humor who worked very hard, even in their 80´s, to provide a spectacular habitat for pollinators at the farm. That Butterfly Garden continues to serve its purpose to this day, while providing a treat for human eyes as well.

Dorothy and Paddy generously hosted me at their beautiful retreat in Poland, Maine, where in addition to fine conversation and relaxation, I enjoyed a long canoe ride with Paddy, who amazed me with his youthful energy paddling around the lake.

It was my great regret to lose touch with Paddy and Dorothy back in 2016, but they have remained present in my mind through wonderful memories of their warmth, words of wisdom, smiles, laughter, and kind heartedness. They were the sort of people the fond memories of whom will last a lifetime. I hope such memories help comfort their family and friends. My sincere condolences to you all.

Dear O Shaughnessy family
I had the pleasure of meeting Patrick for the first-time last August when I moved to BrightView in Canton. I was fortunate to be assigned to Patrick´s table for dinner. He was a real gentleman and always polite. It was a pleasure to know him even though it was for a short time. Our last conversation was on New years day, I had just finished lunch and he was waiting for his family to join him. We both exchange greetings about a better 2022. I characterize Patrick as one of "The good guys". Wherever he has gone he will certainly be with "The other good guys".
We will miss him greatly.
