PAUL D. FORLIZZI

FORLIZZI, Paul D. 76, of Boxford, died peacefully and suddenly, under a palm tree on a golf course in Hawaii. He leaves behind his loving wife of almost 40 years, Donna, who will miss him every day. He was the brother of his twin, Peter (Patty) and younger brothers Joseph (Michele) and John (Lynne), as well as brother-in-law Bill (Karen). His father Joseph and mother Ann predeceased him. He has many loving nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends. He was born in Woburn and grew up in "South Meffa". He attended Medford schools, Newman Prep and Lowell Tech. Leaving Lowell Tech, he became a ski bum, learning to ski by day, and being a waiter at night. His passion for skiing continued throughout his life and he was looking forward to several trips this winter. Uncle Sam came calling and Paul served two years in the US Army in South Korea and was a Colonel's driver. He was a Project Manager at the MBTA retiring 15 years ago to a life of golf, skiing, traveling and living in his beloved Boxford. He enjoyed puttering around the house and working outside in all four seasons. He so enjoyed his wonderful golf friends and the fun they had in all their games, especially winning the money. He skied in New England, out west and Europe with family, friends and even his wife. He traveled many places with wonderful friends and enjoyed it all. And for those who would listen, he followed all the rules of his doctor, Dr. Oz, eating healthy and exercising faithfully and trying to convince you to do the same. But he really enjoyed all the family stuff - reminiscing with his brothers, vacationing and playing with the kids, celebrating the holidays and just being around all of them.
