PAUL BERNARD MAHONEY

MAHONEY, Paul Bernard Paul was born in Brockton, MA, on November 20, 1948. We are so sad to announce the passing of Paul on March 19, 2025, following a series of hospitalizations. Paul graduated from Needham High Schoo, Class of 1967. He joined the Army D Battery 5th/2, with his friend, John Gallello, at the age of 19. They served together in Vietnam from 1968-1969 and remained close friends until Paul's passing. He also leaves behind his Needham friends, Cliff Roberts and Richie O'Brien; as well as friends, neighbors and Elks members who will miss him immensely. We are most grateful to our neighbors, Steve and Donna Mills, for their kindness and support during our most difficult and heartbreaking times. He leaves behind his wife, Kathy, of 55 years; his brother, Edward Mahoney (Ann); as well as his nephews, Ted, Brian and Matthew. Paul was predeceased by his brother, Tom. Paul was an active member of the Newburyport Elks Lodge 0909. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the Twomey, LeBlanc & Conte Funeral Home, 193 High St., NEWBURYPORT, MA 01950. His Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held in the funeral home at 10:30 AM, on Thursday, March 27, 2025. Burial will be at a later date.
