Loving father of Barbara McCarthy and her husband Paul of Arlington, Jay O'Brien and his wife Diana of Ashburn, VA and Mark O'Brien and his wife Kristen of Holden. Grandfather of Paul and Kaitlyn McCarthy, Shannon, Connor, Emily, and Sean O'Brien. Nephew of Sr. Marcella Finlan CSJ. Brother of the late Rev. James P. O'Brien. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut Street (Rt. 60, adjacent to St. Agnes Church) ARLINGTON on Monday at 9 am. Funeral Mass in St. Agnes Church at 10 am. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday 3-7 pm. Burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington. Late Arlington Police Officer. Member of the K of C (P.G.K.), Elks Lodge and Irish American Club. Dear Barbie and Family--
I just spoke with my mom and found out about your dad's passing. I'm sorry for your loss and have many wonderful memories of him, especially riding around Arlington in the cruiser with him (eating donuts in the back seat). You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers.
