There are those whose life leaves an indelible mark on all they encounter, Paul was one such person.
For those of us who knew him, through the profession he loved so much, we owe him a great debt. He brought us along on his ascent all the while heightening our sense of integrity and professionalism. His steadfast principles of quality, pride and his unwavering commitment to the culinary profession, especially to young culinarians, will not soon be duplicated.
We have lost a great chef, a true patriarch and a dear friend.

Josephine & Family,
My deepest condolences for the passing of Paul. He will be missed by all. Paul will always be remembered as an icon in New England's culinary world. He was the ultimate example of both a true professional and a good family man. His collection of awards and accolades from others in his profession serve as proof of the hard work and time that he dedicated to the improvement of the culinary profession. While we are all saddened by our loss of Paul, let us take comfort in the fact that his legacy will live on forever through the history of the Epicurean Club of Boston and through the Paul Pantano Scholarship Trust Fund. The scholarships will perpetually aid those in need who care to enter our profession and serve as a perfect annual remembrance of a man who dedicated much of his time toward helping young culinarians establish their careers. We will all miss Paul. He and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless.

Ninette,
My condolences to you and Carl and Gina Marie during this difficult time. I know that in time, the grief lessens and the wonderful memories of the times you spent with your Dad become priceless, and never fade. May God bless all of you in this time of sadness.

Today the culinary world has lost an outstanding chef with the pasting of Chef Paul J. Pantano, CEC, CCE, AAC, HOF. On a personal note, in 1979 I entered my first Culinary Salon at which I met Chef Pantano. I remember that he took the time to give me some kind words of encouragement when my entree received a low score from the judges. “You will have a long career ahead of you”, he said. “Listen to the judges and learn from them, never stop learning, practice what you’ve learned, and try again next year”. Well, I did return to the salon the following year, and several years thereafter heeding that same advice. I consider myself a better culinarian today for having met someone like Chef Pantano at such an early age and I consider his encouragement a lasting and valuable gift. Paul, we will all miss you.

Dear Jo and all her family,
I want to express my deepest sympathies on the passing of your husband and your Dad. Over the past year I have grown to truly love you and Paul. It was an honor and a privelege to be with you and to serve you. May the Lord Jesus Christ carry you all through this difficult time. Life is not over when our physical body dies it is the beginning of a new and glorius life with Our Lord and Saviour. As it is written: Do not focus on what is seen for it is temporary, focus on what is not seen for it is eternal.
With Much Love,
