Pearl Oliver Obituary

OLIVER, Pearl M. 91, died Tuesday morning, November 4th at Gate Cite Rehab at Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare, following a period of declining health. Born in North Revere, MA on January 16, 1917, Mrs. Oliver was the daughter of the late Francisco and Caterina (Vittorio) Rota, whom had recently emigrated from Bergamo, Italy. Her working career was vast and varied, from working in a candy factory to a stitcher in the garment industry, to being a machinist during World War II; but she found her niche when she worked for Jordan Marsh Co. in Boston, and De Scenzas Jewelers in Boston, and upon moving to Nashua for Scontsas Jewelry. Pearl was predeceased by her husband, Valentino Oliver, who died on October 4, 1997 on their 61st wedding anniversary. Her brothers Virgilio, Joseph and Victor Rota. Members of her family include a daughter Sandra Tuplin of Nashua, NH; a son Joseph Oliver and his wife Joanne of Kissimmee, FL; four grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Nov. 7th from 4-8 PM at the St. Laurent Funeral Home, 116 Elm St., NASHUA, NH 03060. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 8th at 10 AM at St. Christopher Church, 62 Manchester St., Nashua, NH. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pearl's memory to St. Joseph's Hospital, Development Fund, 172 Kinsley St., Nashua, NH 03060. To sign an online guestbook, go to: www.mem.com.

Joe, Our prayers and thoughts of sympathy are with you and all of your Mother's family. There will be rejoicing in heaven as God receives, welcomes and rejoices over her return to his heavenly kingdom. May his Holy Spirit be with you as you accept and deal with the loss of your beloved Mother/Grandmother.

I will always remember Aunt Pearl, as a bigger than life, outspoken person, she was respected and loved by all that knew her. Rest in peace Aunt Pearl.
