PETER RONALD CLOUD

CLOUD, Peter Ronald Of Concord and a former resident of Sudbury for nearly fifty years, died on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Cloud was the beloved husband of Betty E. (White) Cloud of Concord; loving father of Janet Cloud and her husband, Donald Charter of Toronto, Canada, and Michael Cloud of Texas, and the late Geoffrey Cloud, who was killed on September 11, 2001 in the World Trade Center, and his widow, Mio Cloud of CT; cherished grandfather of Robert and Katherine Charter and Geoffrey and Jaclyn Cloud of CT; dear brother of the late Olive Newton, and uncle of several nieces and nephews in Surrey, England. Mr. Cloud was born, raised, educated in London and served with the British Royal Air Force as a Flying Officer for three years. He was a physicist and earned degrees from London and Cambridge Universities, completing his Masters degree in science at New York University. Mr. Cloud worked as a physicist for MITRE Corporation in Bedford for over ten years until his retirement. He was a devoted family man and an avid sports enthusiast, especially known for his proficiency as a tennis player. Funeral services will be private.
