GEORGOPOULOS, Peter S. Of Watertown, MA, passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on January 4, 2022 after a short battle of cancer surrounded by his daughter Patryce and his sister Toula. Peter was born in Kadvounadi, Megalopoly, Greece on July 26, 1933. Former spouse of Mersina "Tootsie" Georgopoulos; father of Stephen Georges and Patryce Georgopoulos; grandfather of Alex Dominguez, Nicholas Georges and Victoria Georges; brother of Toula Keuchkarian and Stacia Xerras and her husband Archiles Xerras. Also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many friends. Funeral Services on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 11 AM in the Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Ave., Watertown, MA. Visitation will be held in church prior to the Funeral Service from 9-11 AM. Burial to follow in MA National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. Late proprietor of the New Yorker Diner, Watertown, MA.
