As Peter's first cousin, my memories of him as a free spirit goes all the way back to our childhood. Although we had lost contact in recent years, I was greatly saddened to hear of his loss.

To all of the Tarnoff family, I am so sorry for your loss. Peter was truly one of the greatest teachers I have ever had. In working with the investment club at Barnstable High, he taught me an immeasurable amount about the world of finance and his joy in explaining the precise concepts of bonds could never be replicated. He and I spent countless afternoons arguing about Puerto Rican bonds, the unforeseen value in the foreign options market, and the dive my economics teacher had taken on Netflix in our stock market game.
I will never forget sticking around and talking until 5:00 about fine menswear, our favorite ties and cufflinks, and the snap-online deals for a great pair of Allen Edmonds he would send me at 11:30 at night.
He had a story for everything and those stories are a gift I will treasure with me all my life. I wouldn't be who I am today without him.
I am thankful for the time I got to know him and I am certain he will have all of God's blessings in heaven.

Sorry for your loss. I enjoyed Peter's company at the WYC. He always shared his shellfish catch with me. Peter was always willing to help around the waterfront. He will be missed. Harry Holway

Mrs Tarnoff, Nick,and Alexander,
So sorry for your loss, your mom and dad were great neighbors and fun beach pals. So many memories, oysters on the porch, wine sampling, sailing, boating , rescuing Peter and you boys out on the sail boats...Memories last forever, thinking of you all with love and glad you have all been in our lives.
Fondly, Elise and Geoff Hills

What will I remember most ? his humor and wit, his graciousness, his genuine interest in everyone, his lovely wife and his devotion to his sons.
