Philip Coakley Obituary

Of Norwood, MA, 89, World War II Navy Veteran, Superintendent of Schools in Norwood and board member of the Norwood Cooperative Bank, died Monday, May 14, 2007 in Norwood. He is survived by his wife, Mary Coakley of Norwood, his children, Philip Coakley Jr. of Harrisburg, PA and Cathleen Coakley of Harrisonburg, VA. He also leaves two sisters, Ann Coakley of Bridgewater, MA and Faith Marchena of Walpole, MA. Dr. Coakley is predeceased by his two brothers John and Steve Coakley. Funeral from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., NORWOOD on Friday, May 18, at 9AM followed by a funeral mass at 10AM in St. Timothy's Church, 600 Nichols St., Norwood. Interment at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 17th at the Gillooly Funeral Home from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
