Entered into Rest March 29, of Swampscott. Beloved husband of the late Sophie (Aronow) Waldman. Devoted father of Marjorie and Chief Justice of the District Courts of Massachusetts Samuel Zoll of Salem, Michael and Joan Waldman of Marblehead, Joseph and Donna Waldman of Paramus, NJ, Dr. Ellen and Dr. Robert Fields of Rockville, MD.Loving brother of Bess Goldberg of Swampscott and the late Rose Rutfield and Rebecca Himmelstein. Cherished grandfather of Barry and Susan Zoll, Cheryl Zoll and her husband Eric Sawyer, Risa and Rachel Zoll, Jill and David Murtaugh, Jeffrey Waldman and his wife Anne Bennett, Kenneth Waldman and his wife Elizabeth Strzetelski, Tracey and Stephen Murphy, Robin Waldman, Alison and Caroilne Fields and 8 great-grandchildren. Services at Temple Beth El, 55 Atlantic Ave., Swampscott on Monday, April 1 at 9:30 A.M. The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Monday and Tuesday at the home of Marjorie and Sam Zoll. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be donated to Temple Beth El. Arrangements by the Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, SALEM.

I grew up with my parents mentioning "Philly" almost daily. He was a kind and gentle man, and the legacy of his fine qualities can be seen in the wonderful family he has left behind.

Perhaps he and Irving are teeing it up as we speak.I know Philly is resting in peace.
