In North Conway, NH, on April 25, 2008, R. Stephen, age 58 of Kearsarge, NH was born in Annapolis, MD and moved to the Mt. Washington Valley in 1975. Wife of Sarah (Whitcomb) Eastman of Kearsarge. Father of Emily W. Eastman of Durham and Grant C. Eastman of Boston. Brother of David L. Eastman of Tamworth, Judith Ann Federowicz of Martha's Vineyard, Jonathan G. Eastman of Heber City, UT, Mary L. Borowski of Nashua, Susan F. Walton of Boulder, CO, Thomas E. Eastman of Conway and Jean E. Ryan of Rye, NH. Visiting hours Thursday May 1 from 1-3 and 6-8 PM at the Furber and White Funeral Home in NORTH CONWAY. A Mass of Christian Burial Friday, May 2, at 11 AM in Our Lady of the Mountains Church in North Conway. A post-service celebration of Eastman's life will be held at the Eating House at Cranmore Mountain Resort in North Conway from 1 to 4 PM. Burial will be in the Kearsarge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eastman's memory may be made to the R. Stephen Eastman Phi Mu Kappa/Tau Kappa Epsilon Leadership Scholarship, care of Plymouth State University Office of Advancement, 17 High Street, MSC No. 50, Plymouth, N.H. 03284-1595, or to Jen's Friends Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 1842, North Conway, N.H. 03860, or Visiting Nurses of Mount Washington Valley, P.O. Box 432, North Conway, N.H.
