Scott and I were classmates at Darden and sat next to each other for our First Year as the two "Mayos" of the class. I knew him as a genuinely decent fellow, with a fine sense of wit and a core integrity that came through in his quiet strength. His passing is a loss for all who knew him. I wish you the peace and comfort that comes from celebrating his life at his best.

My thoughts are with your family during this sad and difficult time. I have really fond memories of Scott from our time in Sudbury. I remember being so relieved to see him when we were in first grade, scared and newly transferred from Loring to Nixon school. And again in high school during a Milton-Nobles rival ski competition after my (particularly bad) run, seeing Scott on the slope helped me brush off the Nashoba snow and laugh it off. I'm very sad to hear the news of his passing. I know he will be missed.

We grieve the loss of your precious son, brother and father. We extend our deepest sympathies to Dick and Sara and to the Mayo family. May God comfort you and give you His peace through this terrible loss. Rink and Wendy Jacobi
