My father, Bill Glovsky, held a special admiration and affection for Bob - and Brenda and each of their children. My brothers, Charles and Bob, and I were lucky to have spent insightful quality time with Bob, including regular lunches together, most recently at The Quin. Brother Bob had the good fortune to work with Bob at Mintz. Words cannot convey the enormity of Bob's loss to our community and our country, not to mention the legal profession, those who relied upon his guidance and the various causes he supported. They say no one is irreplaceable. I disagree. Bob Popeo is irreplaceable.

My condolences to Bob's entire family: May his memory be for a blessing. It was a privilege to be a young lawyer at Mintz Levin and have the opportunity to see how a truly great lawyer and honorable human being managed to be both: Bob was an inspiration to me and I know to many others. His counsel to me as I entered and left private practice was instrumental in plotting my course and I will always be thankful to him for taking the time to take an interest in me, not just as a lawyer but as a person.

One of the main reasons I've loved working at Mintz for over 20 years is because of Mr. Popeo -- he was a genuine, friendly and loyal man who will be missed by so many. It was also interesting to find out that he used to play basketball with my Dad when they were kids growing up in East Boston. A true class act.

Dr. Victor Popeo was my Pediatrician. As an adult, I had the privilege of meeting Bob Popeo on a few occasions. There were lessons learned from both these remarkable men. Remember where you came from, work hard, but most of all be kind. No matter how successful you are just be kind. They were incredible men! Rest in eternal peace.
