I am so sorry to hear of "Bumpa's" passing. I wish we could have made services. I know how much he loved his family and how much you all loved him. May he rest in peace and hopefully he and Uncle Richie have already played a hockey game. Love to you all,The Bean Family

I thought I'd post a note to the extended Burns family to let you know what a tremendous influence "coach" had on my years at Stoneham High. I will be extremely grateful for all the guidance & direction he provided... He will surely be missed by all
God Bless

I never met Richard, but knew of him- that he was a man of great spirit, vigor and warmth - an inspiration to his family, friends, and the scores of young people he coached. I hope as you grieve you find comfort knowing that he is with you and in you as you are with him....Sincerely,David Brisson

To all the family and friends of coach Burns, you have my most sincere condolences. He was a great friend , roll model and coach to me , at a time when I most needed a boot in the right direction. In his quiet, caring way ,he was always there to give it to me, and I will always be grateful for his guidance.
