RICHARD KING Obituary

KING, Richard F. "Dick" Of Maynard, MA, passed away on December 12, 2023 at the age of 89. Dick was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary A. King. Dick is survived by his children, Cheryl R. King of Quincy, Richard F. King, Jr. and wife Terry of Maynard, and Robert V. King of Natick; and grandsons, Adam King and fiancé Christa Vitagliano of Clifton Park, NY and Brian King and fiancé Amanda Fairweather of Peabody. He was also predeceased by his parents, Walter and Elizabeth King of Maynard. Dick was a lifelong resident of Maynard and St. Bridget's Parish. He was a graduate of Maynard High School and Boston University, and a proud veteran of the United States Army. Richard worked for Digital Equipment Corporation for more than 30 years. A Funeral Mass will be held in Saint Bridget Church, 29 Sudbury Street, Maynard, on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 11AM. Interment to follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Maynard. I'll always remember the off site meetings Dick and I had at his house from time to time. The meetings lasted 5 minutes and then "Happy Hour" followed. He was a great friend. RIP Dick.......Bill Duggan
