MALATESTA, Richard J., Sr. In Revere, on July 9, formerly of Medford. Beloved husband of the late Marilyn A. (Morgan) Malatesta, who passed on December 21,1996. Devoted father of Mark W. Malatesta & his former wife Donna Malatesta, both of Hamilton, Joan M. Cataldo & husband Steven W. & Edward F. Malatesta, all of Revere, James F. Malatesta & wife Amelia E. of Boxford & the late Richard J. Matatesta, Jr. & Robert J. Malatesta. Cherished grandfather of Lauren & Lindsey Cataldo, both of Revere, Mark S. Malatesta of Hamilton, Steven J. Cataldo of Revere, Nicole Sargent & husband William & Bianca Malatesta, all of Hamilton, Desiree Iacobucci of Reading, Alexis & Cole Malatesta, both of Boxford. Richard is also lovingly survived by 2 great grandchildren, Genevieve Cataldo & Hunter Sargent. Dear friend & loving companion to the late Barbara O'Connor of Winthrop. Many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews survive him. Dear brother of the late Charles, Buddy & Edward Malatesta, Marion Smith & Lois Treem. Family & friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Vertuccio & Smith Home For Funerals, 773 Broadway, (Rte. 107), REVERE on Tuesday, July 14 at 9: 30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, (corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.), Revere at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours are Monday only 4-8 PM. Parking available left of the funeral home. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Late W.W.
