In Braintree, October 23, 2001, Richard J. Mazzola. Beloved husband of Judith A. (Leadbetter) Mazzola. Devoted father of Donna M. Strand of Rockville, MD, Sharon M. Thornton of Abington, Gayle A. Franco of Braintree, Richard J. Mazzola Jr. of Ojai, CA and Janice R. Mazzola of Weymouth. Also survived by 9 grandchildren. Brother of Lillian "Dolly" Marini of Braintree and the late Jacqueline Bessett. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Ave., QUINCY, Saturday, October 27 at 9:15 a.m. Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Clare, 1244 Liberty St., Braintree at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. For those who wish donations in Mr. Mazzola's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1115 West Chestnut St., Brockton, MA 02301.
