Betty and family. I am a cousin of Richard's from Newfoundland and although I did not know him, my parents often spoke of your family and the photos sent by Richard's mom and later by you,were in our family albums as I grew up. From reading the guest books I can see that he was a wonderful person, loved by those who knew him.

I met LCDR Pollis (USNSCC) on a joint field training exercise with Royal Canadian Sea Cadets and US Naval Sea Cadets. Loved that man from the moment I met him. Just like my favorite uncle. It's easy to see his influence on so many youngsters and adults and to understand why we'll miss him so much. Richard has spent many summers here in cornwallis Nova Scotia proudly representing his cadets....a fantastic officer and friend.....you will be missed
