RICHARD TARULLI Obituary

TARULLI, Richard Lee "Dick" Loving husband and parent Age 80, passed away, on February 22, 2023, in Hospice care. Family and friends offered comfort during the last days. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Tarulli of 57 years; and his two sons, Scott Christopher and Geoffry Brian; along with their partners/wives, Nadia Delemeney and Maija Alksnitis, respectively. Richard will also be missed by Nadia's children, Scarlet Delemeny and Max Randall. In addition, nieces, Jackie Olmstead and Stephanie Cable and nephews, Mark Tarulli, Jason Tarulli and Elliot Olmstead. Richard also leaves two siblings, brother, John Allen and sister, Nancy along with Nancy's husband, Greg Rees of New Philadelphia, Ohio where Richard and Nancy grew up. He will also be missed by his in-laws and their spouses, Michael and Linda Olmstead, Patricia Olmstead and Orville Robertson and Barbara and Lorne Entress. Richard graduated from Kent State University with degrees in Math and Physics. He pursued a career in computers which brought him to Massachusetts in 1980. Among the companies he worked for in executive positions were Prime Computer, Stratus Computer, and Articulant before going on to a series of startups in a consultant capacity. He traveled extensively to Europe, Asia, Australia and across the US. He made seven trips to Italy finding relatives in Abruzzi still connected to the family. He also spent time in Rome and Todi, staying connected to an Italian exchange student, Ilaria Minio Paluello, the family had hosted in 1993-1994. Dick was an avid golfer, a pastime he started when he worked as a caddie and greens-keeper, beginning at the age of seven, at a local Country Club. His hobby took him to courses from Japan to Florida, and Walpole Country Club in later years. At Walpole he played with "The 9:20 Guys", a casual group of friends who met for morning rounds of golf. Dick had a passion for good food, taking pleasure both in cooking and eating out at local restaurants with his loved ones. His signature dish was an Italian seafood stew, cioppino, which he proudly cooked and served to his friends and family. Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life at Walpole Country Club March 18, at 1:00, for a Celebration of Life and community. Burial will be private at Highland Cemetery in Dover. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice at 10 Green Way in Wayland, MA. Burke and Blackington West Newton, Ma 02465 617-527-0986
