Richmond D. "Dick" Moot

Richmond Moot Obituary

Of Northfield, VT, June 27, 2008. Dick is survived by his wife, Hazel, of 62 years; his daughter Suzanne Moot and her husband, Peter Jones; his daughter Candy Moot and her husband, Chuck Nichols; his daughter Heidi Moot Vancisin and her husband, Rick Vancisin; and his three grandchildren: Christopher Moot Vancisin, Dana Elizabeth Vancisin, and Azalea Lauren Frank. He was a World War II Veteran having served in the US Navy aboard the USS New Orleans. He graduated Harvard College in 1944. Lived much of his life in Connecticut and Central Vermont (Northfield). Funeral Arrangements are being handled by Kingston Funeral Home, Northfield, Vermont. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2008 (his birthday) at 11:00 a.m. at the Methodist Church on Main Street in Northfield, VT with a gathering to follow.

Mr. Moot,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the USN fighting the Japanese in the Pacific during WW II aboard the heavy cruiser USS New Orlean(CA 32). And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
