Hello Everybody!
I just came across this guest book today and had to write. I want to thank all of you for your kind words and support. I love reading all your memories of my Uncle Bobby. I am really touched knowing so many people care about my family. It was a pleasure meeting some of you at the service in Fremont, Ca. I loved the stories. One (of many) that made me laugh was from a wonderful women who said, Dr. Bob would tell her, “You know, you have ugly feet” Where she would reply, “Yeah, but the rest of me is so gorgeous!” I learned all of you who were patients of Dr. Bob had such a fun relationship. Some for as many as 30 yrs. (Miss Vivian Lee!!) I have to say, the loyalty is impressive. Also, to all his colleagues and friends. You made me feel I was right there along with you thru the years. I want everyone to know how much that means to allow me into your lives and to share that with you.
We had a service here in Medfield, Massachusetts where Robert is laid to rest. Most of you who attended were classmates and childhood friends. With short notice, just like in Fremont, and for a man who hadn’t lived on the east coast for at least 40 years. The turnout was over 100 people.....Amazing.
To my dear Roxanne; you have given my Uncle Bobby the best 10 years of his life. I can say, with tremendous conviction, my family and I are soo proud of how happy you made him. We are blessed having you and can’t wait to see you .
Its no secret Bobby was also a HUGE Red Sox fan. As I write this today and, if any of you have been following the playoffs' at this time, you know the Sox lost the first 3 games. Only to come back with a grand slam and win the next 3. Many of us in Boston are without fingernails (from biting), and carry a pak of Rolaids, mandatory!! Now game 7 will soon be played. I swear he planned the suspense his way and is giving us the biggest smile right now !!
Living in Boston, I would see my Uncle when he would fly out to meet my dad, John, for golf. Many of you know they look very much alike. I used to jokingly refer to them as the "Terror Twins" haha. With their charm, humor, and smiles, they could not be stopped. Even though their golf scores did not always reflect their enthusiasm!! If they came in last,(gasp!) they would say, "Well someone’s gotta hold up the totem-pole." My father, John and a weekly golf buddy named Warren Copp, organized a annual golf trip to New Hampshire some years ago. Uncle Bobby soon joined making the recurring trip. Within a short time a group of 8 guys turned into a 4-day tournament of 32 . All ages. Enjoying themselves like teenagers who’s parents left them unsupervised for the weekend. In a rented house by-the-way. Lovingly nicknamed “Metapause Manor.”
I’ll let all of you in on another secret about my Uncle Bobby. I know it is sad he left for heaven so soon but that was planned too!! Let me explain… I figured out he thinks if he can get in a few extra golf games before the rest of us, he will have no problem staying “On top of the totem-pole” when get there.
That’s my sweet Uncle!, A great golf buddy, Childhood friend, Classmate, Colleague, Brother, Roxanne’s BFF , and Dr. Bob!!
With All My Love,

I was so surprised and saddened to hear the news of Bob's passing. Dr. Bob, as I always called him, was a wonderful man. I'll always remember our trip to Tahoe for a Pioneer Charity Golf Tournament. John and I had a great time with him that weekend and will always cherish those memories.
Dr. Bob touched the lives of many and will be missed by all. May you find comfort knowing others share your loss.

Bob and I were classmates in Medfield elementary school. Had a chance to see him at the 50th reunion of the 1956 class 2 years ago after so many years. Was great to visit. Roxanne, we met you at that time as well. Have many childhood memories of enjoying one of Bob's mom's home cooked Italian meals! My wife and I send our condolences to the whole family.
