I cannot believe that you've been gone 5 years, my dear friend and college roommate. Your humor and cheerful disposition abetted your intelligence. Rest well, old friend.

It is hard to believe that four years have passed since you left us. The world has missed your wit and your smile. I've missed your friendship.

Bob, you are gone but certainly not forgotten. We were roommates and friends at Union College and friends for life. I miss you smile and I miss your wit.

Very sorry to hear about this. I remember Bob in The Thoreau Society Annual Gatherings, how he used to sit at the Masonic Temple stairs, always of good cheer. Antonio Casado da Rocha, University of the Basque Country

I am so sorry to learn this news - Bob was a long time friend through our shared engagement with the Abstract Club, REBA, and the Boston Athenaeum. We will miss him.

I was a grateful colleague of Bob at DavisMalm for over twenty-five years. It was a real joy to practice law with him and to spend time with him discussing literary and historical subjects...all with Prime Minister Churchill staring down at us. I was delighted to share a birthday with Bob...and Emily Dickinson. The three of us were born on December 10. We always got such a kick out of that. Bob was a truly lovely human being. Judith Ashton

I am so sad to lose my dear friend who I met in 1957 at Union College. We were fraternity brothers and lifelong friends. Your humor and intelligence were what I will always remember as well as your loyalty to your friends. I consider myself honored to have been one of them. Rest in peace my old friend.
