Robert K. Goldhammer

45, of Austin, TX, formerly of Winchester, MA died in a motor vehicle accident on May 26, 2003 in West Texas. Beloved husband of Ursula Hammes and father of Nora and Max Goldhammer. Son of Robert F. Goldhammer of New York, NY and Joan O'Neil of Winchester, MA. Brother of Susan Davis of Newburyport, MA and Richard Goldhammer of Hingham, MA. Also survived by nieces and a nephew. Services were held in Austin, TX on May 31, 2003. He was an Assistant Professor of Geology at the University of Texas, Austin and was world renowned as a carbonate geologist. He was a frequent contributor to Geological Publication, spoke frequently at Society Conventions and conducted numerous field exercises worldwide. A Memorial Service will be held at The Church of the Epiphany, 70 Church St., Winchester, MA 01890 at 11:00 AM Tues. June 10, 2003.
