Robert HALLOWELL Obituary

HALLOWELL, Robert H. III Died January 24, 2026. He was born April 27, 1938, in Dedham, Massachusetts, to Nancy Means Hallowell and Robert H. Hallowell, Jr.

Bob was raised in Dover, Massachusetts. He graduated from Milton Academy in 1956 and Harvard College in 1960. He served in the United States Marine Corps. Reserve from 1959 to 1965. In college, he met Ann DeVausney, whom he married in 1961, and together they spent over six decades as devoted partners.

Bob held senior marketing positions at several companies, including Xerox and The Vanguard Group. He later founded Hallowell Associates in Burlington, Vermont, where he served as president. Bob and Ann lived in Boston, Bedford, NY, and Philadelphia, before moving to Vermont in 1980.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Hallowell; his children, Jess Hallowell Lindley (Matthew) of Gloucester, Massachusetts, Chris Hallowell of South Burlington, Vermont, and Ned Hallowell (Sara) of Gloucester, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Sam Lindley (fianc?e, Danielle Camillo), Addie Lindley, Taylor Hallowell (husband, Nick Raduazo), Nick Hallowell (fianc?e, Mackenzie Hickey), Lindsay Hallowell (partner, Camden Rock) and Walker McGinley; and great-granddaughter, Aria Radwell.

A service will be announced and held later in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Spectrum Youth & Family Services, Burlington, Vermont.
