I was very saddened to come upon Robert's obituary. We were good friends in high school. He made me laugh, taught me about art and literature. His old blue car was called "Halley's Comet". I regret that we lost touch.

I just learned of Bob;s passing. I am so sorry. Bob and I had some long and wonderful talks at a restaurant in Swampscott on Tuesday evenings. He was so interesting to talk to-so bright and funny. i know he struggled terribly with the loss of his daughter. I hope he is with her and at peace now.

To my lifelong friend who I shall always miss:

The solar wind
Blows outward
From our star

At about
400 kilometers
Per second

Your thoughts
Are charged particles
Blowing away debris

Invisible windsock
Shaped teardrops
Beyond imagination
Fill my mind

I am so saddened by the loss of my Uncle Bob. He was just 5 years old when I was born and I instantly adored him. He was funny, kind, brilliant and patient enough to let a little red-headed kid follow him everywhere he went and never did he complain. As we moved into our teen age years he introduced me to art, music and reading which stuck with me thru out my life. We went to many museums together and he would talk to me about his beloved Impressionists. I even carried around a worn out copy of Van Gogh's work went I was ten years old! I will miss him terribly and cherish my memories of him. May he rest in peace.

With love, Michelle Forrestall Lee
