I am sorry for the loss of a great man. He was my mother's uncle and I myself did not get to know him well. I did, however, hear of what a kind, giving, and selfless person he was through my mother and brother Mike, who worked with, and became friends with him. I'm sorry I never got the chance to speak with him, other then the cordial greeting, so I too could have known of his rare and incredible traits firsthand.
It is a honor to be part of this family that is overflowing with so many kind, and loving souls, that is why it is such a numbingly devastating loss when one passes. I can only say I’m sorry, I will hold you dear in my heart always with your brother Anthony, and your sister Mary, my Nana, and hope that your reunion brings you as much happiness and joy as you brought to everyone you touched.

Per sempre nel mio cuore, con amore Chris

In the wake of this hammering loss, finding the right words is utterly impossible. The usual superlative adjectives are unacceptable and generic. It would be useless to even attempt to describe the depth of my love and respect for Mr. Lottatore, and the magnitude of the example he set for everyone who grew up with Karen and Douglas. He was a friend, confidant, and mentor.

He made a substantial difference in my life. To know him was to love him. He was the hardest working man I have ever known. Mr. Lottatore was a man of hospitality and good nature, whose humor, compassion and grace were all-encompassing.

And that's really all there is to say. I love you, Mr. Lottatore. You were a second father to me, I will never forget you, and I pray that someday I am remembered with a fraction of the love and respect that you deserve.

Godspeed.
